Rearrange Yourself

When asked for your defining characteristics, do you say “white male, six foot two, two hundred twenty pounds, brown hair, green eyes?” That’s fine if the description is to help someone pick you out of a police line-up. But when you’re asked to describe yourself as a person, race, body size and type should be well behind spouse, parent, or friend.

I think for most people it is pretty daunting to describe yourself. Then you may have to look at your characteristics as a spouse, parent, or friend. And then (gasp!) you may have to actually do some work and change something! It would be nice to get an honest description of someone at the onset wouldn’t it? “Hi, I’m Jerry. I’m fun to hang out with, but don’t take me home. I tend to be a slob and when things get tough, I tune out. ” šŸ™‚

I love it! That’s not a reply, it’s a post. If you don’t mind, I would like to repost it on my blog and let folks know that you said it. Thanks again for reading!
      Sincerely, john
